Work:
Volunteers are going to work for 5 hours daily, 5 days per week to help in some business such as painting arrangement inside Omar bin khaatab orphans Society, and the National Cultural Club, organizing some social and cultural Clubs to Exchange Ideas about Peace in the world. One of the most important aims is to merge the Volunteers within the Jordanian society, in order to give a close picture to Jordan.
Location:
Jabal Tareq / Zarqa Lying some 14 miles (23 km) northeast of Jordan's capital, Amman, al-Zarqa is Jordan's second-largest city (pop. 421,000 in 2002). The village witnessed tremendous growth beginning in the 1950s through the presence of a major military base, the development of industry and a free trade zone, and the in-flux of Palestinian refugees (who constitute some 60 to 70 percent of the population).
Camp fee:
200 € will cover the costs of the accommodation and transportation during the camps period.
please note : the entry fees to the historical places is not included the fee camp.
ACCOMMODATION: in a house (sleeping bag needed)
LANGUAGE
Camp language is English.
We depend in financing our International voluntary in Jordan on the fees of the Volunteers, where there is no any financial support from any authority to support our International voluntary activity. More over, we did our best in order to cover the fees including: volunteers residence as well as the most important part in the program which leisure time.
While looking for a suitable location to organize a voluntary work camp, we kept elite places away. Instead we chose to live with the locals, so the volunteers can become familiar with their lifestyle and understand the culture. Both sides will be able to exchange their point of view. The participants in these projects will learn many things about Jordan, the land of peace, and its history
